Mission

Promote Community Wellbeing, Art and Science

Vision

It all begins with an idea. Fondazione Kenta is a non-profit foundation that opened its doors in 2019. Imagined by Marco and Giorgio Alverà as a catalyst for the exchange of ideas and a community space where diverse backgrounds converge. It takes its primary inspiration from Kenta Alverà, writer, art historian and pioneering women's rights activist across the 1900s. The multi-story building that houses Fondazione Kenta was built in the 1930’s for what was then a wool yarn factory, and is located in the heart of Milan’s artisanal district known as Isola.

Values

At Fondazione Kenta we ultimately aim to provide a catalyst for a better understanding of each other, our communities, and the world. We hope that our initiatives, and the enthusiasm of everyone involved in our activities as artist, supporter or advisor promote curiosity, creativity and ethical thinking so that we can together connect ideas and contribute to better communities.
