Fabbrica Sassetti

The multi-story building Fabbrica Sassetti that houses Fondazione Kenta was built as a wool yarn factory in the 1930s. The factory remained in active use over the decades and was a local landmark that also contributed to the conservation of its neighbourhood as a center for artisans and craftsmanships. The area, although central, is today referred to as Isola, or island due to its proud isolation from the surrounding gentrification of metropolitan Milan. The building remains hidden from street view as it lays inside a courtyard. It is the ideal home for Fondazione Kenta, providing ample spaces that can be adapted to host its various activities, while acting as a welcome reminder of industrial and creative innovation.
